Jonah’s biological mother said she had an affair with a French soldier, and after she gave birth to their son, she worried for his security because he was of mixed race. Jonah’s biological mother hoped to find him a safe and secure life in the US. After knowing the truth, Troy decided to help Jonah’s biological mother and adopt Jonah.
