Meet Raquel Tavares, Neeraj Gunsagar Ex-Wife

In episode 2 of Selling Sunset S6, we saw Chelsea Lazkani and Emma Hernan introduce viewers to the billionaire Neeraj. Emma was tasked with selling an LA home renovated by her former boyfriend Micah McDonald.

It made perfect sense when Chelsea brought her super-rich client to come in and take a look at the five-bedroom, five-bathroom home–listed for just under $5.5 million–built on almost 5,000 square feet.

When Chelsea introduced Neeraj on Selling Sunset, she revealed that Niraj recently sold his company for a cool billion dollars. Neeraj writes in his Instagram bio that he is the ex-CEO and president of Byte, an invisible teeth aligner brand.

Further describing him, she added that the billionaire had a house in Santa Monica and was looking to buy another as a rental home.

Neeraj was previously a CMO and CRO at True Car. He began his career in finance in 1997 when he worked as a Summer Analyst at UBS Investment Bank. He has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.

Besides being a successful businessman, Neeraj is also a father to two boys. He had the kids with his ex-wife Raquel Tavares. A divorce case was filed between the two in Los Angeles Country Superior Courts on December 14, 2018.

Neeraj and Raquel’s kids are Devan and Dhilan Gunsagar. Devan celebrates his birthday on the 27th of February every year. On February 27, 2023, Neeraj took to Instagram to share some recent pictures of Devan. In the caption, he wrote, “Happy Bday to my new teenager Devan!!! These photos are just over the last couple of months! It’s amazing to watch you grow from a little kid to now a full teenager with a stache!”

As of May 2023, Devan was studying 7th Grade at Brentwood School. He graduated 6th grade from Village School as per Neeraj’s Instagram.

Neeraj and Raquel’s second son, Dhilan, was 10 years old in 2023. He celebrated his 10th birthday on July 26, 2022.

After the divorce, it seems like the kids are living with Neeraj. On June 20, 2022, Neeraj shared about all the fun activities he and the kids had during Father’s Day Weekend. He shared that the annual Boston pilgrimage had become quite a tradition for them every Father’s Day. In 2022, it was different though because they went to a sports buffet in Boston on the occasion.

Neeraj has one brother and his name is P.J. Gunsagar. On April 10, 2023, Neeraj shared that he received a surprise visit from his brother P.J. and his entire crew during Spring Break 2023.
