She was active as a con artist from 2001 to 2014 but it came to stop in December 2016 as her crimes came into the spotlight.
She was charged with wire fraud, mail fraud, interstate transportation of stolen property, and money laundering, leading to her detention in New Orleans.
She took a plea deal and confessed that she moved "$200,000 stolen money from Montana to Texas and her charges of wire fraud, mail fraud, and money laundering were dropped.
She received the maximum allowed sentence of 10 years for her single charge. Similarly, she was ordered by a federal judge in Houston to pay nearly $5.8 million in reimbursement to her victims.
