The American Barbecue Showdown Season 2 has finally arrived on Netflix after being announced over two years ago. However, it’s titled Barbeque Showdown this season. The culinary competition series made its debut in September 2020 and follows the nation’s best backyard smokers and competitive barbecuers as they compete for the title and cash prize of $50,000.

Each episode features a challenge that puts the competitors’ grilling prowess to the test in ways they couldn’t possibly conceive. They will have to demonstrate that they have the expertise to smoke another day using unusual meats and traditional methods.

While some of the competitors have years of experience and have been grilling longer than some of their opponents have lived, others are new to barbecue but have a keen sense of taste, a solid grasp of what goes well together, and a can-do attitude that allows them to take risks while still producing a high-quality meal.

It’s something that’s always been a fierce fire inside of me. I never once thought sharing pictures of my food and recipes on a popular app would have opened up so many new opportunities, genuine friendships, and amazing experiences.

Michelle Lundstrom started a weekly podcast called Absolute Fire in September 2022 as a result of her popularity. She engages in interactions with passionate sparkers of inspiring fires there. She explained,

She is also very active on Instagram. She shares her recipe and food experience with her around 5000 followers on the platform. And her parents, especially her dad, are to thank for her passion for barbecue. She told,

My dad was one of a kind, his love for SAWCE was on another level. He is the reason my heart is in barbecue and my obsession for SAWCE is never-ending.

However, her father died 14 years ago and she wants to make him proud. Likewise, Rosemarie M. Schlecker, her mother, loves barbecue, especially the kind Michelle makes. Her mother never misses the opportunity to praise her cooking skills, whether it’s at a family gathering or to a stranger. Rosemarie is currently 77 years old and she is often spotted in Michelle’s videos.

Talking about Michelle Lundstrom’s personal life, it’s unknown if she has ever been married. However, we do know that, she is no longer with her baby’s father. She is bringing up both of her daughters by herself. She added, “Growing up I loved cooking shows, wearing dresses, and watching my dad on the grill. Now I am the one on the grill, my girls are watching me and I am PROUD.” She continues to shine because of her daughters.
