Anna Nicole Smith's daughter Dannielynn is protected from the limelight for most of the year by her caring father Larry Birkhead.

However, the sweet duo – who are due to make their annual public appearance at the Kentucky Derby next month – have still given rare insights into life at their Louisville, Kentucky based home over the years.

In 2014, Larry let the public catch a glimpse of his family life inside the property when he featured on Celebrity Wife Swap.

In the episode, Larry's sister went to stay with Brazilian racing driver Helio Castroneves, meanwhile Helio's girlfriend Adrianna Henao came to stay with Larry and Dannielynn at their home.

The family gave Adrianna a tour of their property, meaning viewers of the show were able to see inside the family's large open plan living room, the house's dining area, and Dannielynn's beautiful princess themed bedroom.

While it's likely the now 16-year-old star has re-modelled the room since, the show still offers a sweet insight into her childhood living with Larry.

One touching moment in the program came when Larry opened up about how he still misses Anna Nicole, who passed away in 2007 when Dannielynn was just five months old. The show revealed how he keeps his daughter's mother ever present in their lives, including through featuring several pictures of her around the house.

Speaking with the Daily Mail in 2019, Larry revealed that what he misses most about Anna Nicole is "the down to earth side of her."

He also said: "I hate to see that she's not here to share in Dannielynn and her upbringing."

Inside their home, Larry has kept many of Anna Nicole's old dresses and accessories, which he sometimes allows Dannielynn to wear such as when she attended the Kentucky Derby in 2019 wearing one of her mom's old hats.

In the living room there is a portrait hand painted by Larry of Anna Nicole. Meanwhile elsewhere in the house there are museum-like displays of other artifacts related to the icon, such as the dress she wore to take part in the Comedy Central Roast of Jeff Foxworthy, and a poster for her 1994 film Naked Gun 33 1/2: The Final Assault.

As well as offering the insight into their home on Celebrity Wife Swap in 2014, the photographer also sometimes gives glimpses of their neighbourhood in photos which he posts to his and Dannielynn's joint Instagram account on special occasions.

This is often the case on Halloween, when Larry and Dannielynn make a lot of effort to scare their neighbors with some fantastic joint costumes.
