ilkay Gundogan began his football career at the youth level with SV Gelsenkirchen-Hessler 06 and went through the youth academy of Schalke 04, SSV Buer, and VfL Bochum.

She joined FC Nurnberg in 2009 and later signed a four year contract with Borussia Dortmund on May 5, 2011. He made his debut in a 0-0 against Schalke on July 3.

He joined the English club Manchester City on a four-year contract on June 2, 2016, for a transfer fee of £20 million, as the first club signing for the coach Pep Guardiola.

He made his debut for Man. City in a 4-0 win against Borussia Monchengladbach at the 2016-17 Uefa Champions League group stage.

He became the club’s captain on August 14, 2022 after the departure of Fernandinho. He scored the quickest goal in FA Cup final history within 12 seconds on June 3, 2023, at the 2023 FA Cup Final against Manchester United. He also won his first champions league on June 10, 2023, in a 1-0 win against Inter Milan.

Gundogan was able to achieve his dreams of Treble, winning the Premiership, Champions League and FA Cup in 2023.

He was announced as the latest signing for Barcelona on a free transfer on June 26, 2023.
