Georgia sophomore receiver De’Nylon Morrissette was arrested early Monday and charged with four misdemeanors, including driving under the influence of drugs.

Morrissette was booked in Oconee County, the county that adjoins Athens, at 3:33 a.m. Monday, according to jail records. He was charged with DUI, driving too closely, driving too fast for conditions and violating Class D restrictions of not driving between midnight and 5 a.m.

Morrissette played in 10 games last year as a freshman, making four catches for 34 yards. A four-star recruit in the 2022 class, he has a chance to be in this year’s receiver rotation.

There were no further details from the Oconee County Sheriff’s office as of Tuesday night. There was also no immediate comment from the Georgia athletic department or football program.
